Policies

Please read these policies before booking. For any questions, visit our FAQ or get in touch.

Check-In and Check-Out

  • Check-in time is 3:00 PM. The apartment is at West Side Place, 260 Spencer Street, Melbourne CBD, directly opposite Southern Cross Station.
  • Early check-in is available on request at $35 per hour, subject to availability. Please message through Airbnb at least 24 hours before your arrival to arrange this.
  • Check-out time is 10:00 AM. Late check-out is available on request at $35 per hour, subject to availability. Please message us at least 24 hours before your departure.
  • Check-in is fully self-managed. You will receive detailed instructions including the building entry and key safe code one day before your arrival. No need to meet anyone in person.

Cancellation Policy

  • Havenly Escape operates under Airbnb's standard cancellation policy. Guests who cancel at least 5 days before check-in will receive a full refund minus Airbnb service fees.
  • Cancellations made less than 5 days before check-in are generally non-refundable. For stays longer than 28 nights, Airbnb's long-stay cancellation policy applies.
  • We strongly recommend taking out travel insurance to cover unexpected cancellations, particularly for longer bookings.

House Rules

  • Please treat the apartment with care. Any damage, misuse, or negligence may result in additional charges to cover repair or replacement costs.
  • Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the apartment. Evidence of smoking indoors will result in a $300 cleaning and deodorising fee.
  • Parties, events, and loud music are not permitted at any time. Failure to comply may result in penalties and possible termination of the stay without refund, in accordance with Airbnb policies.
  • Pets are not permitted. Bringing a pet without prior approval will result in additional cleaning fees and penalties.
  • Guests are expected to maintain a reasonable level of cleanliness during their stay. Excessive mess requiring additional cleaning will incur extra charges.
  • Lost keys will incur a $200 replacement fee to cover locksmith services and security requirements.
  • Early check-in or late check-out must be requested in advance and is subject to availability. Additional charges may apply.
  • If a scheduled check-in is missed and additional coordination is required, an extra fee may apply.
  • Any damaged or broken items will be assessed and charged based on the cost of repair or replacement. Mail and package deliveries are not permitted. We cannot accept responsibility for lost or undelivered items sent to the property.

Longer Stay Terms

  • Stays of 7 nights or more may attract discounted weekly rates. Please enquire via Airbnb before booking to discuss availability and pricing.
  • For stays exceeding 28 nights, Airbnb's long-term stay terms apply, including a modified cancellation policy with a 30-day notice requirement after the first 30 days.
  • Long-stay guests are welcome to treat the apartment as a home — cooking, laundering and working from the space. Please report any maintenance issues promptly so they can be resolved quickly.

Payment and Security Deposits

  • All payments are processed securely through Airbnb's platform. Airbnb accepts major credit cards and certain digital wallets.
  • A security deposit may apply and is managed entirely through Airbnb's damage deposit system. Any claims are handled through Airbnb's Resolution Centre.
  • Havenly Escape does not accept direct payment outside of the Airbnb platform for guest security.
